About a week ago this little meme from CopBlock rolled across my Facebook feed. The advice the anti-police movement was trying to give said call 911 any time a police officer pulls you over.

My neighbor happens to be a professional musician and radio host. He does a show on NPR called Jazz ODC. After reading my book, Fire Cop, he started thinking about songs that have an inspiration in Police Noir.

As I type this we are only a few hours into 2016. Overall I would say this has been a good year. Hopefully, you also can think back on 2015 with more positives than negatives.

Today is a day we set aside to reflect on what we can be grateful for. For our ancestors, it was a day to celebrate the end of the harvest season. A good mean to celebrate hard work and the acknowledgment of getting the supplies to survive the winter.

A CopBlocker is filming an officer at a traffic stop. The officer is fine with being filmed and after the stop takes a moment to talk to the cameraman. Quickly the camera man tries to "educate" the officer on fresh pursuit laws, yet it is obvious this CopBlocker is a tad misinformed.

Pennsylvania State Police have noticed more and more volunteer firefighters using LED dash lights. The problem is Pennsylvania law says firefighters need to revolving light on the outside of their vehicle. Thus many firefighters in the state are in violation of traffic laws. I worked Fast Food as a teenager. It is not the easiest job, yet it also is not all that hard. I don't think it is a job that someone should demand a pay rate of $15 an hour. This paramedic truly hits the nail on the head about this issue.
