Caught In Providence: Judge praises police for their restraint

Judge Frank Caprio told a man in court he was lucky. The man, charged with drunken disorderly tried to goad the police into a fight. The officers did not take the bait and affected an arrest without force. Now sobered up the man has to face Judge Caprio.

A good reality check when the judge tells someone who was looking for a fight “You’re lucky they restrained themselves; because you could be in a different place right now.”
