Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Thuss is being heralded as a hero after he pulled 60-year-old Rebecca Crawford from her burning car following a crash. The trooper was attempting a traffic stop when the speeder hit Crawford's car.

Fox Valley Metro Police Officer Tiffany Tesch went above and beyond the call of duty this week. After a good size snowfall, she helped many local elderly residents shovel off the driveway.
