Eli Marks is a magician and helps run a small magic store. Across the street from his store is a discount movie theater. One night when looking out his apartment window Eli sees a dead body in the projection booth of the theater.

A friend pointed out to me a video that CopBlock recently produced. It shows a couple of their members approach an officer parked in a parking lot and question him. Thier main issue is this officer is on private property, without a warrant, thus violating the rights of the property owner.

Many people dream of seeing a book they have written on a bookstore shelve. Depending on the source I have seen the statistics state 10%-25% of the population would put "publish a book" on their bucket list. I was part of that statistic, but this week I crossed that entry off my bucket list.

Lt. Joe Tucker from the Detroit police department was off-duty when he happened upon a crash scene. A ten-year-old boy was banged up after the crash but otherwise okay. As others looked after hurt cash victims the boy was alone and afraid.

It seems not a day goes by lately where a police officer or deputy sheriff is refused service at some restaurant. Sometimes it is the staff approaching the officer asking them to go. Other times it is staff yelling across the establishment ordering the officer out the door.

Officer Derrick Jones served the Madison, Wisconsin, Police Department with honor for 15 years. Retirement is bittersweet for the officer. Which makes this a perfect way to cap a career.
