Clay Higgins has quit the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Wow did not see this one coming!

Clay Higgins the man who made amazing viral Crime Stoppers videos for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has left his job. This coming on the heels of the ACLU taking issue with his warrant squad video. A video that had the support of black community leaders who helped to make it.

According to his statement, he was not forced to quit. However political winds made it clear it was time to turn in his badge.

I will not kneel to violent street gangs. I will not kneel to murderers or the parents that raised them. I will not kneel to a discredited, wanna-be, black activist that doesn’t really have the best interest of his people in mind, who just wants to make a profit. I will not kneel to bureaucrats in Baton Rouge, Washington or anywhere else who have forgotten why they wear a badge and who have forgotten who they serve. I would die rather than sacrifice my principles

To me this speaks volumes about the kind of man Higgins is. He is exactly the kind of person we need in police work. Too bad anti-police activists and the ACLU seem to have more political weight than honest American citizens.

Thank you for everything you did for your community and for the profession of Law Enforcement and Good luck sir in whatever life has next for you!
